Nelson Skinner, Attorney at Law

Nelson P. Skinner, B.S., J.D.

Mr. Skinner grew up in Alpine, Texas (Brewster
County).  While growing up and during his
undergraduate years at Sul Ross State University he
worked as a cowboy on West Texas ranches.  
Somewhere along the way, he realized he had both a
love for the law and a passion for fairness, and that the
best way to combine these two traits was by becoming
a trial lawyer.
After graduation from Thurgood Marshall
School of Law in 1983, he established his law practice in San
Antonio, Texas and has been practicing law there ever since.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State
Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, the
Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the San Antonio
Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar College of Texas
.
His achievements while attending Thurgood Marshall School of Law include the Award of Merit for
the highest grade in Appellate Litigation and being on the Dean's List.  Mr. Skinner is a Graduate of
Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College.
He has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of Texas, the United States
District Court of the Western District of Texas, and all of the County Courts and District Courts in
the State of Texas.
